What can I put in my garbage disposal?
The best answer is what you shouldn't put in your disposal. Non food items like paper, silverware and cigarette butts should never be placed in the disposal. Highly fibrous foods such as corn husks, celery stalks, onion skins, and artichokes can tangle and jam the garbage disposal motor and block drains . Where as carrot peels, potato peels, coffee grounds may stick to the sides of your disposal or clog your pipes. Large animal bones like ribs or steak bones are also too dense for the disposal to properly grind and grease or oil should never be put down any sink drain!
How can I prevent toilet clogs?
Avoid flushing anything that shouldn't be flushed! Baby wipes, paper towels, q-tips and feminine products should never be flushed. Although, some feminine product labels say they are flushable THEY ARE NOT, these items will eventually clog your toilet or pipes. Also, any foreign objects, like toys, hair brushes, glasses, and phones should be removed prior to flushing. If the flush already happened give us a call 520-310-3369.
Why does my guest bathroom always smell like sewer even though it never gets used?
You may be smelling dry trap. Due to the lack of use in your guest bathroom the water that naturally sits in the "P" Trap may have evaporated. Once it evaporates it no longer blocks the smell from the sewer/ septic lines. To remedy this make a point of running a little bit of water in that sink every week or so.
My water bill has increased ALOT in the last 2 months, what is causing this and what should I do?
Our plumbers can do a leak down test to rule out any unseen leaks that maybe causing an increased water bill, we also would check that your toilets are fully functional and that any irrigation valves aren't leaking.
